You
Are Millionaire Material
By Peter Nguyen - Feb 27, 2008
If you're pursuing financial freedom, then it may mean that you are considering the *possibility* that you might be able to become a millionaire. Yes, in this lifetime.
Not many people have the courage to hold such a thought. After all, you might be wondering, “Who am I to be so preposterous as to consider myself ‘millionaire material’?”
Most of you might not even earn a six-figure salary right now. So why would I suggest that you are “millionaire material” and could be making a seven-figure income?
First of all, I totally understand if you sometimes have doubts about your ability to become a millionaire.
No matter how uncomfortable you feel about the idea that you might become a millionaire, think about my situation for a minute. I intend to become a billionaire. That’s right, the first Vietnamese billionaire in the history of the world!
Imagine how uncomfortable I feel with that idea!
The secret is this: You’ve got to get used to the idea of your being the ideal person you want to be.
Many motivational authors and speakers exhort people to “believe in themselves” and that is certainly a good exhortation.
But here’s my teaching contribution or my innovative idea: Get more and more familiar with thoughts of you being the ideal person you want to be. This is much easier than to “suddenly” believe that you are a millionaire.
It’s like the old riddle, “How do you eat an elephant? Answer: one bite at a time.”
In other words, the BELIEF that you are a millionaire is as big as an elephant, so cut up the elephant in small pieces and eat it one bite at a time. There’s no other way to eat the elephant.
In other words, I’m NOT asking you to “believe” in the extraordinary thought of your being a millionaire. For most people, such a belief is impossible.
I’m just asking you to think about yourself like as if you were a millionaire, and to think about it a little bit every day. Get used to the idea of your being freaking rich (excuse my French!).
Why is this necessary? Why do I ask you to think about yourself as a millionaire and get used to that idea?
Because ever since you were born, your parents, the educational system, the mass media, advertisers, etc. — absolutely everybody that has interacted with you personally or through a medium — has TRAINED you to think like a non-millionaire.
In other words, you have received at least 20 years of DAILY training on how to think like a person who can only make a five-figure income (e.g. $30,000, $50,000, $80,000, etc.).
Nobody has ever expressed, implicitly or explicitly, their belief that you could make a six-figure income, and nobody — I really mean NOBODY — has ever expressed the belief or even the idea that you could become a millionaire.
NOBODY HAS EVER BELIEVED IN YOU AS A RICH PERSON.
Therefore, it is not surprising at all that you might not consider yourself to be “millionaire material.”
Until I came along.
:)
Unlike other wealth authors, I don’t start by giving you knowledge (although that will come, don’t worry!).
I start by showing you how to create space in your mind, heart and life for RECEIVING the knowledge.
If there’s no space, then there will be no learning. Another way to put it is, “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.”
(In fact, life is one exciting, non-stop seminar on how to become wealthy. It costs millions of dollars to get into that seminar, yet you’re in it already. Everybody you know is ALSO already attending this continuous seminar on how to become wealthy, yet most people are not learning because they do not know what to pay attention to. I will write more about this later.)
This space is like a cup that you’re holding in your hand. If you have a small cup (small self-concept), then your mind/heart can only receive a little bit of knowledge. The surplus knowledge will overflow and spill to the floor — and be wasted.
But if you have a BIG CUP (or a big self-concept, or the idea of yourself as a millionaire), then I can pour more and more knowledge into your cup (or your heart and mind), and this knowledge will totally empower you to think, feel and act like a true millionaire.
When you think, feel and act like a millionaire, the universe has no choice but to treat you like one. And wealth will flow to you faster than you can handle it!
Here’s another secret: you are millionaire material, which means concretely that you are “millionaire clay.” All you have to do is shape that clay into a real “sculpture.”
Everybody is millionaire material or clay. The only reason why most people are not de facto millionaires is that they have never learned how to SHAPE themselves (the clay) into a magnificent sculpture.
This is also the reason why so many people read “how to become rich” books yet they do not become rich. They might learn a few techniques about how to become rich, yet because they do NOT believe in themselves as millionaire material, they have NOTHING to work with! (This is essentially T. Harv Eker’s message in the book Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, which I highly recommend).
Even the best sculptor in the world can’t create anything unless he has clay to work with!
This is why I wrote in the previous post that “Life is all through you.”
In other words, your life can be EVERYTHING you want it to be, but it will ONLY come through you. Your (immense) fortune can only come forth from within you.
Bottom line: you are millionaire material. Accept it. Embrace it. Have fun with the idea.
Remember: There’s more than 5 million millionaires in the U.S. Why can’t you be one of them?
All you have to do is learn how to shape that material (or clay) into a real millionaire by using the power of your mind, heart and
spirit.
